Year 2 have been doing their REAL project on saving the local beach. We have been raising funds to help our campaign to save the seas.
We wanted to do this because we care about our seas and so that we could do something about this terrible problem.
Here are 3 things we have done so far:
- We have written information leaflets and upcycled items
- We have actually done a beach clean at Portishead beach
- We went to the Lido cafe and set up our information station.
Going back to the fundraising, we made jewelry and magnets and managed to raise an astonishing £40.19 to help fund our campaign.
Thank you to all parents who came along to buy our items.
If you want to play your part in protecting the seas, then please don’t use plastic straws. Ask one of us in Year 2 why not!
